We designed our <3<380017a voice modules (voice chips, VCF/VCA, filter IC) in-house, and we carefully test every single one for the Roland JUNO-106, HS-60, MKS-30, MKS-7, GR-700. Our modules are socketed so that you can easily swap them out in the very unlikely event of failure. We're confident that our modules will last—So confident, that we offer a lifetime replacement warranty.
If you don't need to replace all of your Roland's voice modules, you can order a single <3<380017a module for $45. If you need to buy more than one, we recommend our set of 6.
Not sure how to install voices in your synth? We're currently offering an optional installation service with orders of sets of 6. All you have to do is ship us your synth's module board. We'll do the installation and ship it back to you.
Gigging with your synth? Our <3<3 voice modules are fully encapsulated for tour-ready durability. They're water-proof, stomp-proof, and, yes—Beer-proof.
Lifetime warranty: In the highly unlikely event you need a replacement voice chip down the line, we'll send you one for free. Just send us the untampered faulty module and we'll send you a replacement.
(<3<3 is not responsible for shipping cost of returned items)
The battery backup circuit is designed to protect your patch memory in case of peripheral component failure. When a component that runs on the 5-volt rail fails in your synthesizer, it can cause the 5 volts to sag. This sag can make the CPU malfunction and scramble the patch memory as a result. This circuit senses the 5-volt rail that powers all the digital circuitry and switches it to battery power, should the 5-volt rail dip below a safe threshold. Share the instructions with your synth tech.
